Defending Domestic Orange Juice Production Act of 2025
To modify the minimum required weight of orange juice soluble solids.
Summary
This bill modifies the federal standard of identity for pasteurized orange juice by requiring finished pasteurized orange juice to contain at least 10.0 percent by weight of orange juice soluble solids. The requirement applies to soluble solids from orange juice itself, excluding any added sweetening ingredients. The change takes effect upon enactment of the bill. The bill does not prevent the Secretary of Health and Human Services from establishing different standards in the future.
