HR 7869 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
To allow public housing projects under the rental demonstration program to retain prior approval of housing plans, and for other purposes.
Summary
The bill allows public housing projects participating in the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program to retain their previously approved housing plans after converting to the RAD program. Projects that retain this approval may continue using the same approval process for future housing plan modifications or updates. These projects remain subject to all original terms and conditions of their prior approvals and must still go through the standard certification process required for RAD program participation. This provision is designed to provide continuity for housing projects transitioning into the Rental Assistance Demonstration program.
