Summary

This bill amends the Electronic Fund Transfer Act to adjust thresholds related to payment card fees for inflation. Beginning July 1, 2026, and every January thereafter, the thresholds would be adjusted based on the annual change in the Consumer Price Index for October. In the initial adjustment, thresholds would be adjusted based on cumulative inflation from October 2009 to October 2025. These adjustments ensure that payment card fee regulations keep pace with inflation over time.
