FAIR AIR Act

To amend MAP-21 to extend the deadline for the conversion of commercial air tour aircraft operating in Grand Canyon National Park to quiet aircraft technology, and for other purposes.

Introduced Feb 9, 2026

Latest action (Feb 10, 2026) Referred to the Subcommittee on Aviation.

Summary

The FAIR AIR Act extends the deadline for commercial air tour operators in Grand Canyon National Park to convert their aircraft to quieter technology. Under current law established by MAP-21, these operators were required to complete this conversion within 15 years of that act's enactment. The bill changes this deadline to December 31, 2032. This extension gives air tour companies additional time to acquire and deploy quieter aircraft while conducting their operations in the park.
