Mammography Access for Veterans Act of 2025
To expand the telescreening mammography pilot program of the Department of Veterans Affairs, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill expands the Department of Veterans Affairs' mammography programs for veterans by converting the pilot telescreening mammography program into a permanent program. The bill requires the VA to ensure at least one mammography option—either telescreening, full-service, or mobile mammography—is available in each state and Puerto Rico within two years. The bill mandates that all mammography programs be accessible to veterans with paralysis, spinal cord injuries, or other disabilities. The bill allows the VA to expand telescreening services beyond the original pilot program facilities. The bill requires the VA to report on progress by May 1, 2027.
