HR 7286 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Summary
This bill would amend federal tax law to revoke the tax-exempt status of organizations that provide abortions or fund abortion services. Organizations losing tax-exempt status would become subject to federal income tax like other taxable entities. The bill defines abortion in specific medical terms and exempts abortions necessary to save the mother's life or when the pregnancy results from rape or incest. The changes would apply to taxable years beginning after the bill becomes law.
