To amend the Farm Credit Act of 1971 to modify rural housing financing under that Act.
Summary
HR 6720 amends the Farm Credit Act of 1971 to modify rural housing financing programs. The bill adds accessory dwelling units to the types of property improvements eligible for Farm Credit loans and increases a numeric threshold in the loan eligibility criteria from 2,500 to 10,000. These changes expand the types of rural properties and housing arrangements that can qualify for Farm Credit financing.
