Ceasing Age-Based Trucking Restrictions Act

To amend title 49, United States Code, to provide that the transportation of goods from a port of entry and another place within the same State as such port does not constitute interstate transportation, and for other purposes.

Introduced Dec 12, 2025

Latest action (Dec 13, 2025) Referred to the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit.

Summary

This bill amends federal transportation law to clarify that transportation of goods from a port of entry to another location within the same state shall not be considered interstate transportation. This reclassification applies to goods that originated outside the state or the United States and are being transported by commercial motor vehicles. As a result, drivers performing these port-to-location transfers would not be subject to commercial driver's license requirements that apply to interstate transportation.
