Ms. Moore of Wisconsin introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Agriculture
A BILL
To reinstate exemptions to SNAP work-requirements for homeless individuals, veterans, and former foster youth.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the “SNAP Back Act of 2025”.
SEC. 2. AMENDMENT TO THE FOOD AND NUTRITION ACT OF 2008.
Section 6(o) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2015(o)) is amended—
(1) in subparagraph (F) by striking “or” at the end,
(2) in subparagraph (G) by striking the period at the end, and
(3) by adding at the end the following:
“(H) a homeless individual;
“(I) a veteran; or
“(J) an individual who is 24 years of age or younger and who was in foster care under the responsibility of a State on the date of attaining 18 years of age or such higher age as the State has elected under section 475(8)(B)(iii) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 675(8)(B)(iii)).”. <all>
