To amend titles 10 and 32, United States Code, to prohibit the use of a member of the Armed Forces to enforce the immigration laws.
Summary
This bill would prohibit members of the Armed Forces and the National Guard from being ordered to enforce or support the enforcement of immigration laws. The prohibition would apply in accordance with the Posse Comitatus Act, which restricts military involvement in civilian law enforcement. The bill amends both title 10 and title 32 of the United States Code to establish these restrictions.
