HR 5392 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Northern Arizona Protection Act
To nullify Presidential Proclamation 10606, establishing Baaj Nwaavjo I'tah Kukveni-Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument and withdrawing certain land in Arizona from mineral entry, and for other purposes.
Summary
HR 5392 would nullify Presidential Proclamation 10606, which in August 2023 established the Baaj Nwaavjo I'tah Kukveni-Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument in Arizona and withdrew certain land from mineral entry. The bill would prohibit the extension or establishment of national monuments within the area of the former monument unless Congress explicitly authorizes such designations. This would require Congressional action rather than Presidential authority to create any future monument designations in that northern Arizona region.
