HR 5142 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Home Health Stabilization Act of 2025
To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to ensure stability in payments to home health agencies under the Medicare program.
Summary
This bill amends Medicare's payment system for home health agencies to prevent scheduled payment cuts for 2026 and 2027. Instead of implementing proposed payment reductions, the bill directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to provide adjustments that maintain payment rates based on 2025 levels. The additional payments provided through these adjustments would not affect future payment adjustments under Medicare.
