Summary

This bill amends the Federal Credit Union Act to exclude loans made to veterans from the regulatory definition of "member business loans." By excluding veteran loans from this category, credit unions would not need to apply the same regulatory restrictions and capital requirements that typically apply to member business loans. The bill defines "veteran" using the same definition from federal law (title 38 of the United States Code). The changes take effect six months after the bill becomes law.
