Stop ICE from Kidnapping U.S. Citizens Act
To provide that no Federal funds made available to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement may be used, in carrying out any civil immigration enforcement activities under the immigration laws, to detain United States citizens or transport such citizens outside the United States, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill prohibits the use of Federal funds made available to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement from being used in civil immigration enforcement activities to detain United States citizens or transport United States citizens outside the country. The bill applies to all civil immigration enforcement activities under the immigration laws as defined in the Immigration and Nationality Act. The restriction limits how Federal funds appropriated to ICE can be deployed in immigration enforcement operations.
