To exempt certain forest management activities in Yosemite National Park from requirements of section 102 of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill exempts certain forest management activities in Yosemite National Park from the environmental review requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969. Specifically, the bill designates fuels removal activities, including brush removal, and reforestation activities in Yosemite as "categorically excluded" from the requirement to prepare an environmental assessment or environmental impact statement. This means these forest management activities can be planned, approved, and executed without undergoing the standard environmental review process.
