HR 3874 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Rim of the Valley Corridor Preservation Act
To adjust the boundary of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area to include the Rim of the Valley Corridor, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill expands the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area in California to include the Rim of the Valley Corridor as an addition to the recreation area. The expansion adds specific lands, water, and related interests as shown on maps dated August 2001 and April 2023. Any lands acquired by the Department of Interior within the Rim of the Valley area will be administered as part of the National Recreation Area under applicable laws and regulations. The bill allows existing water resource facilities and utilities in the area to continue operating, but requires that their activities be conducted in a manner that reasonably avoids or minimizes impact on the recreation area's resources.
