Executive Order 14293 Act of 2025

To codify Executive Order 14293, relating to regulatory relief to promote domestic production of critical medicines.

Introduced Jun 3, 2025

Latest action (Jun 3, 2025) Referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and in addition to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.

Summary

This bill codifies Executive Order 14293 relating to regulatory relief to promote domestic production of critical medicines by converting it into statute law. Once enacted, the executive order would have the force and effect of law rather than remaining as an executive directive. The bill aims to make measures promoting domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing and reducing regulatory barriers permanent through legislation. This codification would make the regulatory relief provisions binding as federal law and subject to change only through future legislative action rather than executive order reversal.
