HR 2724 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Protecting Our Supreme Court Justices Act of 2025
To amend section 1507 of title 18, United States Code, to establish appropriate penalties for obstruction of justice by picketing or parading in or near court buildings or residences of judges, jurors, witnesses, or other court officers.
Summary
This bill amends federal criminal law to increase the penalty for obstruction of justice by picketing or parading near court buildings or the residences of judges, jurors, witnesses, or other court officers. The amendment raises the maximum prison sentence for this offense from one year to five years. The bill does not change the underlying prohibition on such picketing or parading, only the severity of the penalty for violating it.
