Summary

This joint resolution would disapprove and prohibit a proposed foreign military sale to Israel involving Caterpillar D9R and D9T bulldozers and related support. The sale, identified as Transmittal No. 24-38, would have included spare parts, technical documentation, pre-delivery inspections, and U.S. government and contractor support services. If passed, this resolution would block the military sale from proceeding. Joint resolutions of this type use the congressional disapproval process established under the Arms Export Control Act to allow Congress to reject specific proposed arms sales to foreign countries.
