Summary

This joint resolution would block a proposed foreign military sale to Israel that includes approximately 35,529 MK 84 or BLU-117 general purpose bomb bodies and 4,000 I-2000 penetrator warheads. The sale had been submitted to Congress for review under the Arms Export Control Act procedures (Transmittal No. 25-34, published in the Congressional Record on March 3, 2025). If passed, the resolution would prohibit the sale from proceeding. This type of resolution allows Congress to disapprove proposed foreign military sales within a specified review period under federal law.
