HJRES 163 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection relating to the withdrawal of the rule relating to ``Application of Regulation Z's Ability-To-Repay Rule to Certain Situations Involving Successors-In-Interest''.
Summary
This joint resolution disapproves a rule issued by the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection that sought to withdraw a previous 2014 rule concerning the application of Regulation Z's ability-to-repay requirements to certain situations involving successors-in-interest. The resolution uses the Congressional Review Act process to invalidate the withdrawal rule, meaning the original 2014 rule regarding ability-to-repay requirements for successors-in-interest would remain in effect. If enacted, the disapproval rule would have no force or effect, preventing the CFPB's withdrawal from taking effect.
