HJRES 145 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to limit the terms of office of the judges of the Supreme Court and inferior courts.
Summary
This joint resolution proposes a constitutional amendment to limit the terms of federal judges, both on the Supreme Court and lower courts, to 20 years instead of lifetime appointments. After serving a 20-year term, a judge would be ineligible for reappointment to the same court. The amendment would only apply to judges appointed after its ratification. The amendment would require approval from two-thirds of both the House and Senate, followed by ratification by three-fourths of state legislatures to become part of the Constitution.
