A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Village of Pemberville on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Village of Pemberville on its Sesquicentennial; and

WHEREAS, The Village of Pemberville was formed in 1876, and recognition of its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary is, indeed, a fitting tribute to this fine community. Over the past century and a half, it has become known for its residents' cooperation, integrity, and willingness to work hard, exemplary qualities that are still manifested by its citizens today; and

WHEREAS, Throughout Pemberville's existence, the generous and civic-minded population has enjoyed a wealth of benefits, and those who currently make the village their home take great pride in their community and the rich heritage. Their efforts have certainly made the area a pleasant and friendly place in which to live and work; and

WHEREAS, America is only as strong as her individual communities, which are unique and which make significant contributions to the culture of our state and nation. This milestone offers the citizens of the Village of Pemberville the opportunity to share their memories and experiences and to reflect on the benefits of life in their close‑knit community, for they have built on the best traditions of the past to ensure a future filled with hope and promise; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Village of Pemberville on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary and extend best wishes for peace and prosperity in the years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Village of Pemberville.
