Summary
This Act amends the Town of Laurel Charter to allow for an increase in the permitted late fee charged for unpaid taxes from three percent (3%) to five percent (5%) per annum for each month such taxes remain unpaid. This Act also amends the Town of Laurel Charter to increase the maximum amount the Town is permitted to fine an individual for a violation of an ordinance of the Town from Five Hundred Dollars ($500) to Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500).
