A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Allison Hay as a 2026 Division II State Champion in track and field.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Allison Hay on winning the 2026 Division II State Championship in the 800-meter run; and

WHEREAS, A senior from Tallmadge High School, Allison Hay has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional athlete. A strong competitor, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in track and field, and as a result, she placed first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:12.21 at this year's Division II State Meet; and

WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, Allison Hay has consistently demonstrated the talent, integrity, and motivation that are the hallmarks of a true champion. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS, Allison Hay's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in track and field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Allison Hay on her personal success and salute her as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Allison Hay.
