AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to deeming certain nomi- nating or designating petitions to be permeated with fraud and invali- dating the filings made by a contested candidate
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Section 16-102 of the election law is amended by adding a 2 new subdivision 5 to read as follows: 3 5. Where the court has determined that a cumulative total of twenty- 4 five percent or more of all signatures on a petition are fraudulent, the 5 court shall issue a final order declaring the entire petition invalid 6 and permeated with fraud. 7 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
