A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 12 of Chapter 3 of Title 38 and Part 4 of Article 2 of Chapter 5 of Title 46 of the O.C.G.A., relating to the Emergency Communications Authority and emergency telephone number 9-1-1 system, respectively, so as to provide for an increase in the percentage of all 9-1-1 charges to be remitted to the Peace Officers' Annuity and Benefit Fund; to amend Code Section 47-17-80 of the O.C.G.A., relating to retirement benefit options, payment to surviving spouse, requirements, effect of reemployment, effect of changes in retirement benefits, and payment on death of member, so as to provide for an increase in monthly benefits; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
