This bill amends county law to authorize counties that do not have a newspaper published within their borders to publish local laws and official notices through an official county website or a state-run digital platform instead. The bill creates an exemption from the requirement that counties designate a newspaper for publishing official notices and local laws. Counties with a newspaper published within the county remain subject to the existing newspaper publication requirement. The bill takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
