Summary
NY S 3950, known as the Disability Apprenticeship Expansion Tax Credit Act, expands New York's Empire State Apprenticeship Tax Credit to include an additional credit for hiring people with disabilities. The bill adds a $500 tax credit for each person with a disability hired under the apprenticeship program. This credit is in addition to the existing credits based on apprentice year level, which range from $2,000 for first-year apprentices to $6,000 for fifth-year apprentices.
