Summary

Create a new section of KRS Chapter 411 to establish a cause of action for a person who was wrongfully convicted of a felony in the Commonwealth; create a new section of KRS Chapter 23A to establish a new 10 dollar fee to be assessed in Circuit Court criminal cases; create a new section of KRS Chapter 24A to establish a new 10 dollar fee to be assessed in District Court criminal cases; create a new section of KRS Chapter 411 to establish the wrongful conviction compensation fund; amend KRS 141.019 to exclude funds received from the wrongful conviction compensation fund from adjusted gross income.
