COMMENDING One Hundred Black Men of America, Inc. upon the occasion of hosting its 2026 National Annual Conference
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and honor organizations whose leadership, mentorship, and advocacy strengthen communities, expand opportunity, and promote educational and economic empowerment; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is proud to commend One Hundred Black Men of America, Inc. upon the occasion of hosting its 2026 National Annual Conference, to be held June 17 through June 20, 2026, in New York City; and
WHEREAS, One Hundred Black Men of America, Inc. is a nationally respected organization committed to improving the quality of life within African American communities through its core pillars of mentorship, education, health and wellness, and economic empowerment; and
WHEREAS, Founded upon the principle that "What They See Is What They'll Be," the organization has, for decades, cultivated a powerful network of leaders, professionals, and mentors dedicated to uplifting youth and strengthening communities across the nation; and
WHEREAS, The 2026 National Annual Conference will convene leaders, mentors, educators, corporate partners, and youth participants from across the country for programming focused on leadership development, community impact, and intergenerational mentorship; and
WHEREAS, This gathering will serve as a vital forum for dialogue, collaboration, and the advancement of strategies aimed at addressing disparities, expanding opportunity, and building pathways to success for future generations; and
WHEREAS, The conference being held in New York City is particularly significant, as the organization's founding chapter and historic roots are deeply connected to the City of New York and its longstanding legacy of civic engagement and community leadership; and
WHEREAS, Members of One Hundred Black Men of America, Inc. continue to play an active role in advancing the organization's mission and strengthening its impact within local communities; and
WHEREAS, It is fitting and proper that this Legislative Body recognize the importance of this national convening and its contributions to fostering leadership, opportunity, and service; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to commend One Hundred Black Men of America, Inc. upon the occasion of hosting its 2026 National Annual Conference, to be held June 17-20,
2026, in New York City, and to extend best wishes for a successful and impactful convening; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be transmitted to One Hundred Black Men of America, Inc. in recognition of its enduring commitment to mentorship, leadership development, and community empowerment.
