Summary
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 311 to prohibit action against the license of a physician or physician assistant for a recommendation of medical treatment for COVID-19 including a prescription for a drug not approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration as a treatment for COVID-19; create a new section of KRS Chapter 314 to prohibit action against the license of an advanced practice registered nurse for a recommendation of medical treatment for COVID-19, including a prescription for a drug not approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration as a treatment for COVID-19; create a new section of KRS Chapter 315 to prohibit a pharmacist blocking or attempting to block a patient's access to a drug prescribed by a physician, physician assistant, or APRN on the basis that the United States Food and Drug Administration has not approved the drug as a treatment for COVID-19; prohibit action against the license of a pharmacist for dispensing a prescribed drug for the treatment of COVID-19 that has not been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration as a treatment for COVID-19.
