Summary
This bill authorizes Jonathan Myers, a part-time police officer for the Village of Chatham, to take the competitive civil service examination for the police officer position. The bill waives certain age restrictions under New York civil service law that would otherwise prevent him from taking the exam. If Myers passes the examination, he can be placed on the eligible list for appointment as a civil service police officer with the village police department.
