AN ACT to amend chapter 389 of the laws of 2024 amending the environ- mental conservation law relating to authorizing hunting big game by rifle in the county of Niagara, in relation to the effectiveness ther- eof

The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows:

1 Section 1. Section 5 of chapter 389 of the laws of 2024 amending the 2 environmental conservation law relating to authorizing hunting big game 3 by rifle in the county of Niagara, is amended to read as follows: 4 § 5. This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that: 5 a. the amendments to paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 6 of the environmental conservation law made by section one of this act 7 shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such paragraph 8 pursuant to section 13 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993, as amended; 9 b. the amendments to item (f) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of 10 section 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law made by section 11 two of this act shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such 12 item pursuant to paragraph d of section 5 of chapter 152 of the laws of 13 2020, as amended; 14 c. sections three and four of this act shall take effect upon the 15 expiration and reversion of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 16 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law, as provided in section 13 17 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993, as amended; and 18 d. nothing contained in this act shall be construed so as to extend 19 the provisions of this act beyond October 1, [ 2026 ] 2028 , when upon such 20 date this act shall expire and the provisions contained herein shall be 21 deemed repealed. 22 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
