Summary

This bill increases the federal poverty level requirement for public assistance recipients who receive a one-time earned income disregard following job entry. The bill increases the income cap from 200% to 400% of the federal poverty level, allowing recipients with higher total income to still qualify for the one-time disregard of earned income. The disregard continues to apply for no more than six consecutive months from initial job entry and follows the recipient if they move to another social services district.
