MACKENZIE AND BERNSTINE, JULY 27, 2026 REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON TOURISM, RECREATION AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, JULY 27, 2026 A RESOLUTION Commending the United States Senators representing this Commonwealth, businesses, trade associations, labor organizations, agricultural leaders and community partners for ensuring Commonwealth representation at the American State Fair; and urging the Office of the Governor to participate in future similar national celebrations. WHEREAS, The residents of this Commonwealth deserve to have this Commonwealth's agriculture, manufacturing, energy, tourism, innovation and cultural heritage showcased on the national stage whenever the opportunity arises; and WHEREAS, Participation in the American State Fair provides an opportunity to attract investment, promote tourism, celebrate this Commonwealth's agriculture and highlight the industries and workers that make this Commonwealth exceptional; and WHEREAS, Pennsylvanians expect their elected officials to seize opportunities to promote this Commonwealth rather than allow partisan disagreements or political grievances to stand in the way; and WHEREAS, When the Office of the Governor failed to ensure 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19

this Commonwealth's participation, others answered the call; and WHEREAS, United States Senators Dave McCormick and John Fetterman worked across party lines to help make certain that this Commonwealth would still have a presence worthy of its people; and WHEREAS, Numerous businesses from this Commonwealth, agricultural organizations, trade associations, labor organizations, nonprofit organizations and community partners generously contributed time, resources and expertise to create a Commonwealth showcase that reflected the pride, ingenuity and work ethic of its residents; and WHEREAS, The collective efforts demonstrated that when official leadership fails to show up, Pennsylvanians invariably do; and WHEREAS, The resulting exhibit served as a reminder that this Commonwealth's greatest strength has never been found in Harrisburg press releases, but in the farmers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, workers and civic leaders who refuse to let this Commonwealth be left behind; therefore be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania commend United States Senators Dave McCormick and John Fetterman for setting aside partisan differences to advance the interests of the Commonwealth; and be it further RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania express its sincere gratitude to AMPAL, Inc., Asher's Chocolates, Camp Susque, Commonwealth Charter Academy, Core Natural Resources, Crayola, Dieffenbach's, East Penn Manufacturing, Eat'n Park, Flexicon, Gettysburg Foundation, GNC, Herr's Foods, Inc., Iron Senergy, Quarter Pine 20260HR0592PN3800 - 2 - 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30

Tree Farm and Jim Rockis, Knoebels, Manufacturer and Business Association, Marcellus Shale Coalition, Martin's Snacks, Middleswarth, National Federation of Independent Business, National Museum of Industrial History, Neighbor Helping Neighbor Food Bank, Orvis Hill County, Penn State College of Agriculture, PennAg Industries Association and Chris Herr, Pennsylvania American Water, Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, Pennsylvania Coal Alliance, Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, Pennsylvania FFA, Pennsylvania Manufacturers' Association, Pennsylvania Pork Producers Council, Pittsburgh Brewing Company, Quandel Construction, Schlouch Construction, Seltzer's Smokehouse Meats, Tammy Smothers Zeaser, Triple M Farms, U.S. Steel, UTZ, Visit Hershey Harrisburg, Vitro Architectural Glass, Wise Snacks, Yuengling and the many other individuals and organizations whose generosity and initiative ensured that Pennsylvania was represented with pride at the American State Fair; and be it further RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania urge the Office of the Governor to participate in future similar national celebrations; and be it further RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania recognize that this Commonwealth's successful participation stands as a testament to the people of this Commonwealth, who once again proved that they are fully capable of accomplishing great things, even when Harrisburg's executive leadership misplaces the invitation, the priorities or both; and be it further RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to United States Senators Dave McCormick and John Fetterman, along 20260HR0592PN3800 - 3 - 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30
