AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating a Seaford pedestrian bridge as the "Abbey Gate Memorial Bridge"
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 256 to 2 read as follows: 3 § 256. Seaford pedestrian bridge to be designated as the "Abbey Gate 4 Memorial Bridge". The Seaford pedestrian bridge that spans New York 5 State Route 135, from Bayberry Lane in the hamlet of Seaford to Twisting 6 Lane in the hamlet of Wantagh in the town of Hempstead, county of 7 Nassau, shall be designated and known as the "Abbey Gate Memorial 8 Bridge". 9 § 2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal- 10 lation and maintenance of adequate signing as designated pursuant to 11 section one of this act. 12 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
