Summary
This Colorado law requires school districts and schools to install exterior key boxes containing keys and other access control devices that allow law enforcement agencies to quickly enter school buildings and rooms during emergencies. Schools are not required to install a key box if they already have an alternative plan and procedures to provide law enforcement with emergency access, or if they did not receive funding from the state's school security disbursement program.
