A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Toledo Day Nursery on its One Hundred Fifty-fifth Anniversary.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Toledo Day Nursery on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundred Fifty-fifth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is, indeed, a fitting tribute to Toledo Day Nursery, for since its inception, it has attained a remarkable record of service. Established in 1871 to assist parents who were day laborers, the nonprofit grew from daycare to providing a nurturing environment and quality education for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and its accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the agency itself but also on its hard‑working staff and volunteers and on the community; and

WHEREAS, Over the past one hundred fifty-five years, Toledo Day Nursery has enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area, and its generous contributions have earned it the gratitude and respect of many. We are certain that as it maintains its unfaltering dedication to service and achievement, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark; and

WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing efforts of organizations such as Toledo Day Nursery that Ohio has gained a reputation as a state that is responsive to the needs of its citizens and has remained a pleasant place in which to live and work. It is truly deserving of high praise; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Toledo Day Nursery on its One Hundred Fifty-fifth Anniversary and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Toledo Day Nursery.
