SJRES 69 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Summary
This joint resolution disapproves a rule issued by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on September 6, 2024, relating to the "Record of Decision for the Barred Owl Management Strategy; Washington, Oregon, and California" under the Congressional Review Act. The Government Accountability Office determined in May 2025 that this record of decision qualifies as a rule subject to congressional review. If passed, the resolution would nullify the rule and prevent it from having any legal force or effect. The resolution was discharged from committee by petition and placed on the Senate calendar in October 2025.
