A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval of the proposed export of certain defense articles to Israel.
Providing for congressional disapproval of the proposed export of certain defense articles to Israel.
Summary
This joint resolution would disapprove and prohibit a proposed export of firearms to Israel valued at $1 million or more. The export, identified as Transmittal No. DDTC 23-086, consists of 3,200 DDM4 rifles and 2,000 MK18 rifles with fully automatic capability, intended for delivery to Lavi BBG Ltd. for use by the Israel National Police. If passed, this resolution would prevent the firearms export from proceeding. Joint resolutions of this type use the congressional disapproval process established under the Arms Export Control Act to allow Congress to reject specific proposed defense articles exports to foreign countries.
