Summary

This bill appropriates $20,000,000 in additional funds to the Election Assistance Commission for states to improve election security and technology related to federal elections. Eligible states are those that received 2026 election security grant funding and agree to provide their complete voter registration lists to the Department of Homeland Security. States must share their voter registration information at least quarterly after September 30, 2026, which would be compared through the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements system to identify non-citizens. Each eligible state may receive up to 10 percent of the amount it received under the 2026 election security grant program.
