To prohibit the implementation of a Land Protection Plan for Muleshoe National Wildlife Refuge.
Summary
This bill would prohibit the Secretary of the Interior from finalizing, implementing, administering, or enforcing a Land Protection Plan for Muleshoe National Wildlife Refuge in West Texas. The bill specifically prohibits implementation of the plan published by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in February 2023 entitled "Final Land Protection Plan & Environmental Assessment Muleshoe National Wildlife Refuge." The bill also prohibits any substantially similar land protection plan from being implemented for the refuge. No substantive details about what the land protection plan contains or proposes are included in the bill text. The effect would be to prevent federal implementation of the proposed land management plan for this refuge.
