To reauthorize the Federal lands access program.
Summary
The FLAP Reauthorization Act extends authorization for the Federal Lands Access Program, which funds road and transportation infrastructure on federal lands. The bill appropriates increasing amounts from the Highway Trust Fund for the program, ranging from approximately $314 million in fiscal year 2027 to $334 million in fiscal year 2031. The funding increases by approximately $5 million per year over the five-year period. This reauthorization allows the program to continue providing grants to improve transportation access to federal lands including national forests and other public areas.
