Ms. Hassan (for herself and Mr. Scott of South Carolina) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Finance

A BILL

To amend title V of the Social Security Act to extend funding for the family-to-family health information centers.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the “Family-to-Family Reauthorization Act of 2026”.

SEC. 2. EXTENSION OF FUNDING FOR FAMILY-TO-FAMILY HEALTH INFORMATION CENTERS.

Section 501(c)(1)(A) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 701(c)(1)(A)), as amended by section 6303 of division F of the Continuing Appropriations, Agriculture, Legislative Branch, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Extensions Act, 2026 (Public Law 119-37; 139 Stat. 636) is amended—

(1) in clause (viii), by striking “and” at the end;

(2) in clause (ix), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and

(3) by adding at the end the following:

“(x) for the period beginning on January 31, 2026, and ending on September 30, 2026, an amount equal to the pro rata portion of the amount appropriated for fiscal year 2025; and

“(xi) $6,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2027 through 2030.”. <all>
