Summary

This bill extends the authorization for three federal water infrastructure programs that support the resilience and sustainability of water systems. It reauthorizes the clean water infrastructure resiliency and sustainability program under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act through fiscal year 2031, extending the authorization period by five years. It also reauthorizes two drinking water infrastructure programs under the Safe Drinking Water Act: the drinking water infrastructure resilience and sustainability program and the midsize and large drinking water system infrastructure resilience and sustainability program, both through fiscal year 2031. These extensions allow the programs to continue supporting water system improvements beyond their previous authorization expiration dates.
