Summary

This bill amends the Defense Production Act of 1950 to clarify that authorities to support domestic energy supplies do not apply for environmental protection purposes. It adds a prohibition on the President denying financial support under Defense Production Act titles I and III based on a person's engagement in fossil fuel-based energy exploration, development, production, transportation, or sale, except when the financial support is specifically for energy production. The bill restricts the government's ability to deny Defense Production Act support to companies based on their involvement in fossil fuel industries.
