Keep Head Start Funded Act of 2025
To provide for continuing appropriations for Head Start programs.
Summary
The Keep Head Start Funded Act of 2025 provides continuing appropriations for Head Start programs for fiscal year 2026. The bill appropriates funds necessary to continue all Head Start programs without interruption at the level funded in fiscal year 2025. These appropriations remain available until Congress enacts a full-year appropriations bill for these programs, enacts an appropriations resolution for the Department of Health and Human Services without funding for Head Start, or until September 30, 2026, whichever occurs first. Expenditures made under this bill are charged to applicable appropriations when future legislation is enacted. The bill takes effect retroactively as if enacted on September 30, 2025.
