S 2891 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
To direct the Administrator of General Services to ensure that the design of public buildings in the United States adheres to the guiding principles for Federal architecture, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill directs the General Services Administration to ensure that the design of federal public buildings adheres to the "Guiding Principles for Federal Architecture," a set of design standards established in a 1962 report. The bill requires the GSA Administrator to promulgate regulations within 180 days that implement these principles and establish minimum design standards for federal public buildings. The regulations must be developed through the standard federal rulemaking process with public notice and opportunity for comment.
