Summary

This bill would prohibit the federal government from enacting or enforcing regulations that limit firearm magazine capacity. It would also invalidate any state or local laws that restrict firearm magazine capacity, meaning such state and local restrictions would be unenforceable. The bill defines a firearm magazine as a fixed or detachable device used to store and feed ammunition, and defines capacity as the number of rounds a magazine can hold. The amendments would take effect 30 days after enactment.
